The Supreme Court notice to PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PwC) India on charges of violating foreign exchange and foreign direct investment rules did not prove to be a party-pooper for the consultancy in any way. The notice was sent on Friday, but PwC went ahead with a pre-planned "meet-the-media" party in the capital the same evening. Predictably, the shadow of the Supreme Court notice hung over the event, and the top management worked hard to indicate that this was "an old issue" that had resurfaced. The key message was that everything was above board but lacked the specifics.
