Civil Aviation Secretary M M Nambiar had a tough time with a committee headed by BJP MP Maneka Gandhi for giving ambiguous and incomplete replies to questions sent to the ministry. After this, Nambiar called various directors and deputy directors of the ministry and pulled them up for the kind of replies they had sent, and told them to ensure this didn’t get repeated. To underscore his seriousness, he told them that he had never been treated in the manner he had been by the committee.
