With its market share falling 15 per cent last year and few signs of a revival even now, the company’s top bosses in Chennai are in video conference almost every day with their European headquarters strategising ways to counter low-priced, home-grown rivals. What’s foxed them more now is a new product that’s about to hit the market soon — a phone with a 3” mini DVD player, at an incredible Rs 5,000 price point.
