Talking about how digital technology has become a part and parcel of people's lives, Chanda Kochhar, MD & CEO of ICICI Bank, recounted an amusing story of the confusion that customers faced when they were initially introduced to ATMs. Speaking at an HR summit, she said when the user was asked to enter a PIN (personal identification number), they would actually look for a pin to deposit in the dispensing machine. That was why in the early days, the bank had people manning ATMs to help people use them, she added.
