Poetry in insurance failure

Image

Business Standard New Delhi
At a recent conference on insurance, the chief executive of an insurance company found a "poetic" way to explain the plight of customers.

He said, "Ajeeb silsila hain aapke pyaar ka, na aapne kaid kiya hai, na hum riha ho paye (this is a strange case of love, where neither have you jailed me nor have I been able to free myself)".

He was referring to customers, who did not know what to do or whom to approach for their insurance contracts. There have been cases of misselling where the customer neither wanted to pay the premium nor was able to surrender the policy.
