Conrad K Sangma, the newly elected member of Lok Sabha from Meghalaya, was one of the three Young Turks, among other members of Parliament, to highlight the havoc caused by floods in their respective home states.

While Gaurav Gogoi, son of former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi, and Deepender Hooda, son of former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, spoke about the flood situation in Assam and Haryana respectively, Sangma caught everyone's attention with his personal touch.

Sagma, son of former Lok Sabha Speaker Purno Sangma, who passed away earlier this year, told Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan that floods had damaged the pineapple crop, a fruit she loves dearly, and there was an urgent need to despatch financial assistance to the state's farmers.
