At a Congress press briefing, the party's campaign committee chief Ajay Maken said he had an answer for all those who alleged that the party was a divided house. He likened former minister Haroon Yusuf, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely and himself to the brothers, Amar, Akbar and Anthony from the 1977 blockbuster Amar Akbar Anthony, who were separated during their childhood before coming together in their youth to fight a common villain. He added that Yusuf and Lovely had started their political careers around the same time that he did and that they gave the city a "clean and competent" government while they were ministers in the Delhi government.
