Post-dated cheque

When Kalyan Singh joined the Samajwadi Party he is said to have been assured by party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav that his son Rajveer Singh would be accommodated in a parliamentary by-election. Yadav was certain that his son Akhilesh would win both the seats he was contesting and one of them would be vacated in in favour of Rajveer. As expected, Akhilesh Yadav did win the Kannauj and Ferozabad seats and has given up the latter. But Mulayam is in no hurry to nominate Rajveer from Ferozabad. Pre-poll promises are not always honoured are they?
