It is now a war of posters in Uttar Pradesh, ahead of Assembly elections in the state in 2017. Posters have emerged showing Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi "posing" as "Singham", the eponymous hero in a Bollywood film about an honest police inspector.
About a week ago, hoardings portraying former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati as goddess Kali surfaced in Hathras, leading to a political storm.
Then there were posters of Keshav Prasad Maurya, the new chief of Bharatiya Janata Party's Uttar Pradesh unit, who was depicted as Lord Krishna, and his rivals, including state Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, as one of the Kauravas.
