Pre-Budget 'leak'

Like all pre-Budget discussions, the recent meeting between Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and state finance ministers was held behind closed doors at Vigyan Bhavan. But for some unaccountable reason the organisers chose to relay proceedings – live – on one of the big screens in the auditorium. Naturally, that provided a perfect opportunity for reporters to watch, until someone discovered the “leak” and abruptly turned it off.
