Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma's feisty address at the Confederation of Indian Industry national conference in the capital was virtually a summary of the achievements of the two stints of the United Progressive Alliance. This much was expected but Sharma did not waste the opportunity to voice his party's well-established unhappiness with the media. Talking about how the economic reforms process has to move on, he said the media, too, needed to be more responsible and accountable, on the same lines as being sought from governments and the corporate sector. "Media is a sacred cow. We are not supposed to talk about it - I don't know why," he quipped.
