Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi has a penchant for gadgets and the party old guard has been, at times, openly disapproving of the technological bent of his team. Even during public rallies, the Gandhi family scion can be spotted scrolling through messages on his phone. During a recent rally at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi, Gandhi was clicked showing his mother, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, something on his cell phone screen. The next day, while trying to pep up partymen in Uttar Pradesh, Gandhi suddenly invoked Apple Inc's visionary co-founder Steve Jobs, who, he said, was an example for Congressmen to emulate. Then, as an afterthought, he directed the attention of his audience to senior party leaders RPN Singh and Sanjay Singh, who, he said, were among the legions of loyal users of Apple phones.
