Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's Raj Thackeray has an affinity for popular protest, whether it involves violence against north Indians or the agitation against toll collection. But now, sources close to him say, Thackeray is about to briefly eschew his brand of street politics to schmooze with the who's who of Indian industry - Ratan Tata, Mukesh Ambani, Anand Mahindra, among them - to release a much-awaited blueprint for Maharashtra, possibly on August 21. Thackeray's party fared badly in the last Lok Sabha elections, so he is banking on this blueprint to regain some traction ahead of the Assembly elections in October.
