On the opening day of Parliament’s budget session, BJP leader S S Ahluwalia was flooded with calls. Everyone wanted to know whether he was returning to the Congress. According to Ahluwalia, the rumour was triggered when he met Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the corridors of Parliament.
To Ahluwalia’s ‘Namaste’, Sonia flashed a bright smile and replied with a loud ‘Sat Sri Akal’. A pleasantly surprised Ahluwalia extended the chance meeting. This was enough fodder for the political grapevine.
