Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee may be known for her mercurial temper, but she is also a caring host even if she is not hosting the event. The Trinamool Congress MP and minister of state in the urban development ministry, Saugata Ray, had a house-warming party, and Banerjee tried to ensure everyone was taken care of. She encouraged actress-turned-MP Shatabdi Roy to eat two more pieces of fish as ‘it will not make you fat’. She asked all party colleagues to taste the soup as ‘it is really nice’ and tried to ensure that Ray didn’t go out to smoke too often. When Ray arranged a cake with ‘Trinamool Congress Zindabad’ written on it and asked Banerjee to cut it, she quipped, ‘How can I cut Trinamool Congress’, before cutting a small corner of the cake.
