Almost all politicians are regularly spotted either SMSing or talking on their mobile phones, but Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) deputy leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh is an exception. Even when he became an MP, he didn’t take the official mobile connection provided to MPs by PSU telecom firm MTNL.
During his entire tenure as a minister (2004-2009), Singh managed to live without a cellphone. Nor does he see any need for a mobile now. “What is the use of carrying a mobile? I am always connected to people and that’s the most important thing”, Singh said.
