There has been a 10 to 15 per cent increase in the sales of residential properties during the festival season, according to industry data. But property developers continue to complain about government policy and the general slowdown in the market.

When a journalist raised the point at a recent round-table conference, the chief executive of a Delhi-based real estate company referred to a recent announcement by Godrej Properties, which said it had sold 300 apartments worth Rs 700 crore in just one week. "We are used to such figures," he said. So that's the benchmark!
