Business Standard New Delhi
The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) massive victory in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections has also meant a revival of interest in literature related to the BJP as also the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Many more people are queuing up at the bookshop at the BJP national headquarters at 11, Ashoka Road in New Delhi, as well as the stall located at the RSS office in Jhandewalan (New Delhi). BJP leaders seem to take perverse pleasure asking buyers how the bookshop at the Congress office at 24, Akbar Road has been faring, knowing full well the Congress office does not have a bookshop to speak of. Needless to say, they are not particularly pleased when told that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) possibly runs the most efficient and well-stocked bookshop at its headquarters at AKG Bhavan in New Delhi.
