Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha just staged his play Pati, Patni Aur Main for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal President Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna. Old timers recall how the play has negotiated the treacherous territory of Bihar's political landscape, much like its maverick leading man.
One Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said, "When the play was first staged 15 years ago, Sinha's term in the Rajya Sabha was coming to an end and he wasn't sure if he would get another one."
This time, too, Sinha's career faces uncertainty - he has been at odds with the party leadership since the Bihar Assembly polls last year, when he felt he was ignored.
