Securing their internal vote bank

Business Standard New Delhi
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is keen to form a government in Delhi. This can happen only if some of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or Congress MLAs quit their seats. This will bring down the effective strength of the Assembly and enable BJP to cross the majority mark. Some AAP supporters, over the past two months, prepared for the eventuality that BJP might try and poach their MLAs. These AAP friends identified possible turncoats and did to them what Arvind Kejriwal had advised the people of Delhi - to use hidden cameras and record government officials who demand a bribe. Sources claim AAP supporters have recordings of some of these MLAs to ensure they don't break ranks. The BJP now fears further embarrassment might lie in store if these MLAs turn up and vote against the party at the time of a confidence motion in the Delhi Assembly.
