Unlike many other ministers of state, Minister of State for Agriculture, K V Thomas, is a happy man. While others are complaining that their senior ministers do not give them enough work, Thomas’ hands are full. Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has asked his office to direct almost all important files through Thomas.
He is present at all policy meetings and major decisions are taken keeping him in the loop. A section of the Congress, however, feels this suits Pawar as well. As Thomas takes care of a lot of work in the ministry, Pawar can happily devote time to cricket administration and other issues.
