A day after a shoe was flung at Home Minister P Chidambaram, Jayanthi Natarajan came to brief the press at the Congress headquarters. As she sat down, she was asked if she was feeling safe. Promptly came the reply, “I totally trust all of you.” CPI(M) politburo member Sitaram Yechury addressed a press conference hours after the incident and asked a reporter, “I hope you will not throw your shoe at me?”. To another, “Why have you taken off your shoes?”
