Slim twins

At the launch of Samsung’s new LED TVs that are just 1.6-inches thick, company officials were asked why Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra had been chosen as a brand ambassador — ‘Is it because both are ultra-thin?’, was the question. While Bindra blushed, Samsung’s deputy managing director said it had more to do with the fact that both Samsung and Bindra were toppers in their respective fields. But, yes, he added, “I admit he is slim … but this is more about his credibility as a sportsperson”.
