Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress came a tad late to the social media party, but has been rather aggressive online for some time now. So aggressive, in fact, that after the Railway Budget on February 26, the Trinamool's social media team recorded and uploaded a press conference of party leaders on their YouTube channel (link: tinyurl.com/b73av4p). The problem was that the amateur team recorded the presser while it was playing on a TV set, complete with the volume being increased on the TV within the first few seconds of the clip. Never mind that it could be a copyright infringement (given they recorded the clip while it played on local news outlet, Channel 10), but is some finesse in social media interaction too much to ask for?
