Some shareholders in India seem to wait for annual general meetings (AGM) to cosy up to the management. And the best route for hero worship is mostly songs or verses. The Reliance Industries AGM kept that tradition alive when shareholders were generous in showering compliments on Mukesh Ambani. One shareholder said:
Chamakte ho poornima ke chand ki tarah,
Mehekte ho itra gulab ki tarah,
Rehte ho bharat ki petroleum industry mein shenshah ki tarah
Aur lagte ho corporate superman Bill Gates ki tarah. (You shine like the full moon; you are fragrant like the rose perfume, you live like an emperor in the Indian petroleum industry, and you look like corporate superman Bill Gates.)
