Sporting ties

Leaders of the Congress Party and Bharatiya Janata Party may hurl invective at each other but the one thing that seems to unite them is their shared interest in managing sports federations. So no eyebrows were raised at the prime minister’s office when two heads of sports organisations belonging to the rival political parties came together to call on the PM, all smiles, and jointly presented one large bouquet of flowers.
