Still at the mast?

"Old habits die hard" is an idiom new shipping minister Nitin Gadkari might want to remind former Union minister G K Vasan, who held the portfolio for almost five years. On Monday, June 2, Vasan, who is also a Tamil Nadu Congress leader, issued a press release criticising the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central government on the increase in diesel prices and urging it to act on the fresh issue of fishermen arrested by Sri Lanka. Nothing wrong with this, except that the release was duly signed by Vasan and issued on his letterhead as shipping minister!
