Still born

They may be avowed enemies for the world, but few know that Mahant Adityanath (Lok Sabha MP from Gorakhpur) aka Negi from Pauri Garhwal and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav aka Maulana Mulayam are the greatest of friends. In fact, it is Adityanath’s help Mulayam Singh sought to defeat former SP supporter Harishankar Tiwari who defected to join the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Anyway, there was Mahant Adityanath droning on and on in Parliament about how Ramjanmabhoomi must be given to the Hindus because Lord Ram was born there and so on, when Mulayam got up and said: “Arre yogi, tu yeh bata, tujhe maloom hai tera janam kahan hua tha?” (Tell me, yogi, do you know where you were born?). The faintly insulting tone was meant to strike a friendly note but it had the whole House dissolve in laughter as the Adityanath smiled sheepishly, cut off in mid-harangue.
