Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad can, at times, be an overbearing parent. Recently, he landed up at a function that was to be inaugurated by his son and Bihar health minister Tej Pratap, and did the inauguration himself. Prasad also delivered a long speech on homeopathy. He was interested in the activities of the health department earlier as well, conducting hospital inspection and issuing directions to senior officials. The Opposition in the state is miffed with Prasad's attitude, and has used it to take potshots at the government. Former minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nand Kishore Yadav said Prasad was doing this to promote his younger son and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav over Tej Pratap. Another BJP leader, Sushil Kumar Modi, advised: "The government should make him a 'Super CM', giving him the legal right to interfere in the government."
