When Robert Vadra went to watch the India-Australia match at the Ferozeshah Kotla grounds in the capital, his son left behind his jacket. When the organisers were told of this, they were quick to find it on one of the seats in the box where the Vadras had been sitting. What took a considerably longer time was the debate over who would have the privilege of returning the jacket — a junior official of the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) was keen to do this, but someone suggested the honour be given to a senior BCCI functionary who is also a Congress MP. The MP agreed to do it but the task was ultimately performed by the junior DDCA official. He was heartbroken though, by the fact that he never got to hand the jacket over to Vadra, but had to give it to a security guard.
