Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said it had failed to meet the expectations of the people of the state; Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam founder and BJP ally Vijayakanth concurred; and Pattali Makkal Katchi founder S Ramadoss, while welcoming some of the measures in the Railway Budget, said that on most issues Tamil Nadu had been ignored.
