With reference to “AI mulls fine up to Rs 15 lakh on unruly fliers” (April 18), the latest draft proposals of the national passenger carrier Air India encompassing a new set of guidelines and financial penalties up to Rs 15 lakh to deal with unruly passengers who delay flight operations, though well intended, could be very difficult to implement for some obvious reasons. Such an innovative proposal may also fail to withstand the judicial scrutiny later.
