Target error

The Subhash Chandra-owned Essel Group announced its foray into the affordable housing segment at a press conference in New Delhi on Monday. While the company aims to build 200,000 homes in the next seven years, the press release issued by it pegged the figure at two million. As television channels started flashing the second figure, the company and the public relations agency hired to make the announcement had to withdraw the press release and print fresh ones. Chandra had to personally clarify at the press conference that the company would build 200,000 homes and not two million.
