Relations between developers and real estate consultants have hit a low point in the National Capital Region. Developers here are openly blaming consultants in public forums for flat sales of residential properties. The CEO of a leading developer, for instance, went as far as to say sales have slumped because these consultants, who had no information of the ground realities involved in real estate projects, were offering buyers bad advice and dissuading them from buying on the grounds that prices can be expected to fall in the future. He did not, however, comment on the unending delays and poor construction quality that may have something to do with poor sales too.
