The battle between the Election Commission (EC) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee over the commission's order transferring seven officials may have ended with Banerjee climbing down from her initial offensive stand against the poll panel. But the officials involved don't seem all that bothered. After all, Banerjee has promised to reinstate all of them after the elections. So, it's nothing but a good break for them, according to Arindam Dutta - one of the seven officials concerned. Since Dutta has been removed from West Midnapore's additional district magistrate post and also released from election duty by the Election Commission, he candidly posted on Facebook that he is enjoying the break and getting some sleep.
