The times they are a changin'

The Policy Planning and Research Division of the Ministry of External Affairs released the ministry's Annual Report for 2013-14 earlier this week. The report is a gazette of sorts of all activities and achievements of the ministry from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014. It also has recent events of May and June, including heads of state and government from neighbouring Saarc countries attending PM and his Cabinet's swearing-in ceremony, PM's maiden foreign visit to Bhutan, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's visit to Bangladesh in June, etc. The thick booklet has several photographs of the PM as well as Swaraj meeting foreign dignitaries. While the annual report primarily covers events of 2013-14, the last year of UPA 2, there isn't a single photograph of the then PM Manmohan Singh or his External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid. Times, indeed, have changed.
