Too much purity

After Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh listed the new air quality norms, a journalist asked him to repeat everything in Hindi. Ramesh said the author of the report would brief the press in Hindi. The author did so in such chaste Hindi that no one could understand a word of it. After the speaker was done, Ramesh was quick to add, “That’s why I asked him to speak in Hindi because I couldn't have done it.”
