Tour of duty

After she landed in Delhi on a private airline flight, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee found that she had an hour in hand before a scheduled meeting with Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and his top officials. So, she decided to take a tour of India Gate to pass the time. So she took two rounds of the capital’s most famous monument and drove around Lutyens’ Delhi, before heading for North Block. Then she realised that she could have seen more of Delhi because Mukherjee was not yet ready for the meeting after his siesta.
