The day Election Commission censured Varun Gandhi for his alleged anti-Muslim speech in Pilibhit, he called a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader past midnight. Varun, living up to his reputation, shocked the leader when he started asking him how he should be speaking to the television channels on this issue.
BJP leaders also say Varun is given to name-dropping and never suffixes ‘ji’ with any of the name he drops.
