After skipping it on various occasions, Fertiliser Minister MK Alagiri attended the Cabinet meeting on Thursday since the proposal to change fertiliser pricing was on the agenda. After he circulated his ministry’s proposal to fellow ministers, the fertiliser secretary got up to say that Textiles Minister Dayanidhi Maran (also a DMK member) would brief the Cabinet on the proposal. Maran then took the floor and briefed the Cabinet.
