Business Standard New Delhi
The latest issue of Panchjanya, a weekly newspaper published by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Hindi, has, in its editorial, said the "secular" and "socialist" streams of Indian politics were frightened of the prospect of losing Bihar. It singled out Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi for special criticism. It said, the "prince", as was his habit, was absent without trace. Some commentators, the editorial stated, had attributed his absence to feeling tired even before the battle for Bihar had begun. The editorial went on to say, "Whatever might be the reason (for his absence), the truth is that the captain of the ship has left the ship in the hands of the old guard."
