Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has questioned the secular credentials of the two political parties in Bihar with which he was about to join hands even until a week ago. He said many SP workers were injured during the Ayodhya row while fighting supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). "If SP is not secular who is? People who ran the government with the BJP's support for 12 years?" said Yadav. A couple of days ago, the SP announced its decision to fight the coming Assembly elections in Bihar alone and blamed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for a "tilt" towards the Congress.
