Surat has witnessed tremendous growth in recent years. A large number of businessmen from other parts of the country have made Surat their home. |
As a result, several residential places have come up in the city, However, Bhatar Road area remains the most sought after place. |
The area is already dotted with several high-rise residential buildings, with many more coming up. The land prices in the area have soared within two-three years, still more and more people, especially from Rajasthan and other northern states, are choosing Bhatar Road over other places. |
There are many factors that have contributed to this estate boom on Bhatar Road. |
Chandresh Patel of Patel Constructions, who has already completed two projects here, said, "Though Bhatar Road is situated very close to Parle Point, Ghoddod Road and City Light areas, the estate prices here are 15-20 per cent less than other residential places." |
"Bhatar Road will be the number one residential destination of Surat within an year or two. Estate prices have increased and are expected to rise further. Many have not only bought houses here but have also started investing in flats and bungalows here," Patel added. |
The strategic location of Bhatar Road have also contributed to this realty boom. Umesh Chawla, a resident of Bhatar Char Rasta, said: "I shifted to this area three years ago because there are several good schools here. My children study in Vidyabharti School, which is just a few hundred metres from my house, so there is not much inconvenience to the children or to us. Wide roads and good infrastructure have also contributed to making Bhatar Road the much sought after place." |
Sunita Jain, who resides near Uma Bhavan on Bhatar Road, said: "Vegetables, fruits, milk etc are easily available here. There are quite a few gardens in Bhatar Road area where children and elders can have a nice time. |
"There are also good theatres near the area where one can spend the free time with the family," added Jain. |
