I got a pre-paid gift card worth Rs 5,000 but the validity expired two months ago. Can I get the validity extended?
Gift cards are issued by banks and even non-banks like retail stores. Since these are prepaid cards, extending the validity is normally not difficult. You should contact the issuer and place a request for its revalidation.

My credit card was used by a fraudster in Patna while I was in Mumbai. The bank is telling me to pay the dues and they will reverse it if the fraud is established. Can I decide not to pay?
Once you report a fraud on your credit card and raise a dispute, banks normally provide a temporary reversal of the charge/extension of credit limit pending investigations. Normally, this is for a period ranging between 30 and 60 days. If the fraud is established, this becomes permanent and if it is not, then you have to pay the amount concerned. I'd recommend you convince them about this fraud and in case of any problem, get in touch with the nodal officer of the bank.

I'm planning to buy a mobile phone on an equated monthly installment offered by an non-banking financial company (NBFC). Will this loan also show in my credit score?
Any loan taken from a bank, NBFC, or housing finance company gets reported to the credit bureaus and reflects in your credit score.
