Sobha's 'dreams' will be within reach of more

Sobha Developers, a leading builder based in Bangalore, has turned 10 and wants to celebrate the moment in its own way "" by reaching out to more people.

In this endeavour they are set to launch their newest offering "" Sobha Dreams. "It will fulfill the dreams of young professionals," said J C Sharma, managing director, Sobha Developers.

The construction firm, which has till now priced its offerings in the Rs 35 lakh to Rs 1 crore range, wants to offer nearly the same quality product to enter the Rs 20-22 lakh bracket, with minimum compromise on quality.

"It is the new entrants into the hi-tech industries who are the target group. With IT and ITeS growing fast in Bangalore, and many young professionals landing in the city with well-paid jobs, they are a captive market for such projects," said Sharma.

With bank rates now quite affordable, it has become that much easier for youngsters to aspire to own a house of their own even as they are only in their 20s.

The two projects constituting "Dreams", which between themselves will offer 1,200 flats, are set to come up on Tumkur Road and on Hennur Road in Tenisandra. Details like the size of flats, number of rooms and facilities are still being worked out and will be finalised by February, 2005.

Sharma says Sobha, which has developed a reputation for quality, will seek to retain it even while reducing prices. "The buyers will find the same quality of work in the projects though the flats will come cheaper."
