Ashok Parnami takes over as R'sthan BJP chief

Parnami said BJP would sweep all 25 seats in next month's Lok Sabha polls

Ashok Parnami, an MLA from Adarsh Nagar assembly constituency, today took over as the Rajasthan BJP president here.

Outgoing state party head, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, handed over the post to Parnami in a special function at the party's office.

In a brief speech Parnami said, under the leadership of prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, BJP would sweep all 25 seats in next month's Lok Sabha polls.

Expressing her confidence in Parnami's abilities and stronghold on workers up to village and booth level, Raje said the new incumbent would prove his mettle in the upcoming LS polls without any doubt.
 

Hundreds of party workers and senior leaders lined up to greet him and the chief minister, who is going to meet party high command in Delhi this afternoon, for the process of candidates' selection.
