The results of the Assembly polls in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh show that an anti-Congress mood was prevalent all over the country, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said here.

"Congress managed to win some seats only in Chhattisgarh because of the sympathy factor there. Overall, it shows that anti-Congress winds are blowing all over the country," he said.

The fall of rupee, inflation, growing unemployment, alleged massive corruption, alleged absence of a tough response to the actions of China and Pakistan and the growing violence against women were among the factors that made the country lose confidence in Congress, he said.

Maintaining that today's verdict was a vote for good governance, he said the TDP fully welcomed it.

"Congress has been doing similar anti-people politics in Andhra Pradesh too. They are dividing the state without trying to solve the problem, out of political expediency. They have tolerated corruption in AP," Naidu said.

Replying to a query, he said the TDP would continue to work against the anti-people policies of Congress in future.
