Press Trust Of India
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said it was aiming at providing membership to one crore people through its membership drive in the state by the end of March next year.

"Within one month of the launch of membership drive, we have registered 60 lakh primary members in the state. We have set a target of reaching one crore mark, which I think would be achieved when the drive would end on March 31," BJP state in-charge Dinesh Sharma said.

Sharma, who is also the national in-charge of the party's membership drive, was here to meet BJP leaders from Saurashtra and Kutch.

"We are enrolling two types of members, primary and active. Those who get 100 primary members will be made active members," added Sharma.
