The ruling BJP is leading in 100 seats as against Congress in 44 in the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly, counting for which in currently underway.
The BSP is ahead in one seat and others on three, in the counting of postal ballots for the 136 out of the total 230 Assembly constituencies in the state till 9 am.
The counting of votes for the Assembly elections began simultaneously at 51 district headquarters in the state amid tight security.
