BJP MP threatens coal blockade to Bengal to get potatoes

Dubey's warning comes in the backdrop of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren writing a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to lift the ban on transport of potato to the state

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey today said he would lead a coal-blockade against West Bengal if it did not lift the ban on potato to Jharkhand within a week.

"We will block coal transport to West Bengal from Raj Mahal-Lalmatia area in Godda district, if Bengal continued its ban on potato to Jharkhand within one week," the Godda MP told reporters here.

Dubey's warning comes in the backdrop of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren writing a letter to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to lift the ban on transport of potato to the state as 50% of its potato requirement was bought from Bengal.
